 《銀河鬥士（GALAXY GLADIATOR）》是一款縱版STG遊戲。遊戲採用的是自動射擊模式。除了有普通射擊外還有蓄力射擊值得注目的則是遊戲中新加入的僚機功能和合體變身 功能。遊戲中有兩台僚機為隊長機提供援護射擊；戰鬥機還可以變身成鬥士形態，使出強力的激光劍攻擊。三台機體同時在場時還可以進行合體。不同隊長機合體後 的蓄力攻擊也不同。此外還有道具和副武器用來回覆和強化。 旅行回到80年代的街機射擊遊戲的黃金時代，這個垂直滾動的射擊遊戲！
